Dr. Michael O. Husmillo, D.C.

Dr. Michael Husmillo, OCNC's Clinical Director, is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley where he majored in Integrative Biology with an emphasis in neuroanatomy. He did his thesis under the supervision of Dr. Marian C. Diamond studying the relationship between the immune system and its effects on the neuroanatomy. He obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College West where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. While attending LifeChiropractic College, Dr. Husmillo received other various awards and honors such as the Excellence in Care citation
He completed a 3-year postdoctoral neurology course through the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies in Clinical Neurology and successfully passed examinations leading to the certification of Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board. He has blended his background in nutrition with hundreds of hours of advanced post doctorate training in Functional Neurology to provide a very comprehensive and unique approach to one's care. He has also completed advanced studies in the treatment of vestibular disorders, learning disabilities and behavioral disorders from the Carrick Institute for Postdoctoral Education and has expanded Optimum Chiropractic Neurology to assist in the non-pharmaceutical treatment of vertigo and balance disorders in all age groups and children with ADHD, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, and Learning disabilities.

In 2006, Dr. Husmillo received appointment to the Board of Trustee at the Judson Center.  A non-profit organization serving the families of Southeast Michigan. 

He currently is the director of Optimum Chiropractic Neurology Center and full-time clinician specializing in the treatment and rehabilitation of various neurological and musculoskeletal disorders. He has worked with numerous professional and amateur athletes in their quest to maximize their neuromusculoskeletal system and assisted in their recovery from injuries. He served as a guest lecturer at the University  of Michigan-Flint  speaking about various neuromusculoskeletal conditions such as peripheral neuropathies, repetitive stress injuries, and post-traumatic head injuries.

He is an Independent Medical Evaluator in the State of Michigan and serves as an expert witness for disputes in the workers' compensation system and personal injury arena.
Dr. Husmillo is first and foremost committed to providing each patient with an individualized diagnostic and therapeutic approach to assist them in their journey to live a healthy and fuller life.

Dr. Beaubien views each patient as a whole and not a collection of symptoms.  He strives for optimal wellness with each patient, so they can live their life to the fullest.  One unique ability he has is to integrate functional neurology with functional movement and mobility.  He has great success with chronic headache patients often reducing their headache frequency to once a month or even less.  Dr. Beaubien has experience working with elite level athletes in various different sports. 

Dr. Beaubien was born and raised in Troy.  He went to Michigan State University for his  bachelor’s degree and got his doctor of chiropractic medicine degree from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL.  He has been in practice for 10 years and is experienced in treating patients from all walks of life.  In 2018 he earned his fellowship from IAFNR in Childhood Neurodevelpmental Disorders.   He is also certified in Kinesio Taping and Rock Taping.

Edna Bionson

Edna joined OCNC in July of 2012. She brings her knowledge of exercise physiology to OCNC.  Edna's passion is to educate every patient on how to live a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

Sarah Adamcyzk

Sarah Adamczyk graduated from Oakland University in 2019 with a bachelors degree in biology. She plans on pursuing a masters degree as a physician assistant. She joined our team in 2017 with a passion for helping others. In her free time, Sarah likes to play the violin, read, and find new places to explore.

Lauren Bionson

Lauren Bionson graduated in 2013 with an Associates in Sports Medicine. She joined our team in July of 2017 and is committed to helping others achieve their personal goals.

Rachel Mutchnick

In September of 2011, Rachel graduated from Irene's Myomassology Institute (IMI). In the interest of continuing education, Rachel now apprentices once a week at IMI under two very talented Myomassology instructors. Coming from a medically oriented family; including seven doctors and one nurse, she knew that health was the direction she wanted to go in. Veering away from the prescription route; Rachel feels that naturopathic medicine accompanied with healthy living and general body awareness can improve overall quality of life.

Olivia Clauss

Olivia was introduced to massage therapy through her own recovery journey. After seeing how amazing she felt, she knew she wanted to help others feel the same way. Olivia graduated from Irene’s Myomassology institute in 2017 and continues to take classes to stay up to date with the latest techniques. She prides herself on tailoring each session for her client’s individual needs. When not at work, Olivia loves playing with her dog and hanging out by the lake.
