What is IASTM?

IASTM, or Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, is a technique that utilizes different instruemnts to produce a therapeutic effect on the body. It works with the muscles and the fascia of the body to improve gliding and sliding of the tissues, which helps to optimize length tension relationships in specific, targeted areas.

Optimizing length tension relationships is essential in getting over an injury!

What conditions respond to IASTM?

IASTM works well with almost every musculoskeletal condition. It is particularly beneficial when working with overuse syndromes, such as tennis elbow or jumper's knee.

Does it hurt to have someone perform IASTM on you?

When done properly you should not feel any pain, just a slight discomfort.
